Meaning
A raw, aggressive dancehall dance and lyrical style that appeared around 2008, involving forceful, sexually suggestive grinding and simulated rough sex between partners. Hugely popular but deeply controversial for its explicitness and the injuries it sometimes caused, daggering was eventually restricted on Jamaican radio and television by the broadcasting authorities.
