To worry, fuss, or be anxious — to trouble your mind over something. 'Nuh fret yuhself' is a common comfort, meaning 'don't worry / don't stress'. To be 'fretting' is to be fretful and anxious; a baby that 'fret' is fussing and crying. It is one of the everyday Jamaican words for worry and unease.
