Because 'word, sound, and power' are one, a Rasta chooses words carefully and reshapes Babylon's language into Iyaric ('I-tal' talk), replacing negative-sounding words with uplifting ones (understand → 'overstand', dedicate → 'livicate'). It is the reasoning behind the whole Rasta way of speaking.
