Meaning
An obeah charm or magical working — of African origin — made to bring a specific result, such as money, love, luck, protection, or harm to an enemy. To make or 'set' a wanga is to prepare such a charm through spiritual work. The word belongs to the deep African-derived vocabulary of Jamaican obeah, alongside 'guzu' and 'science'.
