Vex-up

adjective VEKS-up ˈvɛksʌp

Also spelled vex up, bex-up

Worked up and angry; annoyed and agitated — an intensified form of 'vex' (angry). To be 'vex-up' is to be visibly upset and cross, stewing over something. It can also work as a verb: to 'vex up' someone is to make them angry. Compare 'bex', another Patois spelling of 'vexed'.
