Meaning
A public statement in church of what God has done for you — a personal account of a healing, a rescue from trouble, a prayer answered, given standing before the congregation, usually beginning 'I want to thank God...'. Time set aside for 'testimony service' lets members witness and encourage one another. To 'give testimony' is a cornerstone of Jamaican Christian worship.
