Meaning
The ceremonial table at the centre of a Revival 'table' or feast — spread with a white cloth and laid with candles, flowers, glasses and jugs of water, fruit, bread, and other offerings, around which the congregation gathers to sing, pray, drum, and 'labour' in the spirit. Setting and keeping the revival table is a sacred duty, and the whole ritual gathering itself is often called simply 'a table'.
