Meaning
A discussion — especially a deep or spiritual one — a session where Rastafari gather to talk through scripture, livity, philosophy, and current events, often over a passing chalice. Far more than casual conversation, a reasoning is a shared, unhurried search for truth and understanding, in which each speaker offers their overstanding and the group thinks together toward insight. It is one of the central practices of the faith, and to 'reason' with the brethren is to engage in this serious, communal exchange of ideas and revelation.
