Meaning
A tall grass with fine, saw-toothed edges sharp enough to slice the skin like a razor if you run against it or try to pull it. Growing in thick stands in gullies and waste ground, razor grass ('sword grass') is a hazard country children learn to respect — a careless dash through it leaves stinging paper-cut-like slashes on the legs and arms.
