Meaning
A famous Jamaican brown sauce — dark, tangy, sweet-and-spicy, aged in oak barrels and made from tomatoes, onions, mango, tamarind, raisins, peppers, and spices. Made in Shooters Hill since 1921, 'Pickapeppa' is the classic Jamaican steak-and-condiment sauce, splashed on meats, fish, and cheese, and its distinctive bottle is a fixture of the Jamaican table.
