Meaning
Later — used both as a casual farewell and to mean 'at a later time'. 'Lata' on parting is 'see you later, catch you around', an easy sign-off between friends, and 'inna di lataz' ('in the laters') is a playful, drawn-out way of saying the same. In its plain sense it simply marks a time still to come — 'mi will do it lata'. Relaxed and offhand, it belongs to the everyday, unhurried courtesy of taking leave with the promise of meeting again.
