Meaning
Unity — the word remade in Rastafari speech so it opens with the affirming 'I' in place of 'u', in the same way as 'idren' and 'iditate'. 'Inity' is the oneness and togetherness of all people under Jah, a core value of the faith and a constant theme in reggae, calling for love, harmony, and solidarity among the downpressed. To live in inity is to hold to that fellowship and mutual respect, and the reshaped word carries the Rastafari conviction that the self and the divine are joined in 'I'.
