Quick to anger; easily provoked into a rage — a person with a 'hot temper' (or 'short temper') flares up at the smallest thing. 'Him hot-temper bad' warns that someone blows up easily, so tread carefully. The opposite is 'cool' or 'easy'. A hot-temper person is respected warily and often steered around.
