Meaning
The guinep (genip) tree — a tall shade tree that bears tight bunches of small green fruit in summer, cracked open for the sweet-tart, jelly-like pulp around a big seed. A childhood favourite climbed and shared in season; the wood and shade are valued too, much like the big guango.
