Meaning
'Give thanks' — to express heartfelt gratitude, to God, to life, or to a person. Warmer and more spiritual than a plain 'thank you', it is a staple of Rastafari speech ('give thanks and praise') and of everyday Jamaican courtesy, blessing the moment as much as thanking for it.
