Meaning
Money for petrol ('gas') — and especially the little bit you chip in to a driver for a ride, or the running cost of keeping a car on the road. 'Gimme a money fi gas' asks for petrol money; offering 'gas money' is the polite way to contribute when someone gives you a lift. A common everyday expense and courtesy.
