Meaning
Father — one's dad, and by extension an older man of authority or respect. 'Fada' appears in family words like babyfada (the father of one's child) and godfada, and in the proverb that the chip doesn't fly far from the block. In Rastafari speech 'the Fada' or 'Fada God' also reaches toward the Almighty. Warm and respectful in everyday use.
