Meaning
A dunce; a very slow or unintelligent person, especially the poorest performer in a class. An intensified form of 'dunce', 'duncebat' is a schoolyard put-down for someone who can't learn or does badly at school, and feeds the wider Jamaican talk of 'dunce culture' and the pressure not to be the class 'duncebat'.
