Meaning
Gossip carried back and forth between people to stir up trouble — and the tale-bearer who does it. A 'carry go bring come' person takes what one said about another and 'carries' it over, then brings back the response, feeding a quarrel. Immortalised in the classic ska song 'Carry Go Bring Come', it names one of the great troublemakers of community life: the busybody go-between.
