Meaning
To break new ground for planting — digging and turning fresh land, clearing and preparing a plot to start a new cultivation. It is the hard first labour of farming a piece of 'ground'. By extension, to 'bruk grung' can mean to make a start on any big new undertaking, breaking the first hard resistance to get something going.
