Bling

noun BLING blɪŋ

Also spelled bling-bling, blingz

Flashy, showy jewellery — gold chains, diamonds, big rings, and shiny accessories worn to signal wealth and status. 'Bling' (or 'bling bling') evokes the imagined 'shine' the jewellery gives off. Born in dancehall and hip-hop, the word describes both the jewellery itself and the whole flashy, look-at-my-money aesthetic. 'Full a bling' means dripping in jewellery.
