Meaning
The eyeball — 'yeye' being the Patois for eye. Formed as 'yeye' plus 'ball', it names the round of the eye. It appears in vivid expressions of intensity and shock: 'him yeye-ball nearly drop out' at something startling, or rolling the 'yeye-ball' in exasperation. 'Yeye' is the root of many eye-words: cut-yeye, red-yeye, bad-yeye.
