Meaning
Always give thanks for what you receive, however small. When a fowl drinks, it tips its head back toward the sky after each sip, as if lifting its eyes in gratitude to heaven — so even the humble chicken gives thanks, and so should we. A proverb teaching gratitude and humility for every blessing.
