Meaning
One of the main houses of Rastafari, founded in 1968 by Vernon 'Prophet Gad' Carrington — the most internationally spread and, historically, the most liberal of the mansions. Members are grouped by birth month into the twelve biblical tribes (each with a colour), read a chapter of the Bible a day, and count Bob Marley among their most famous members. Known for openness across races and a strong emphasis on scripture.
