Meaning
A top-ranking gunman or gang figure — the highest 'shotta' (shooter/badman), a feared, respected leader in the world of guns and 'badness'. Heavy in dancehall lyrics, 'top shotta' glorifies and warns of the man at the top of the street hierarchy. More loosely and jokingly, it can also mean anyone who is the best at what they do.
