Meaning
A homemade frozen treat of sweet flavoured water or juice frozen in a small plastic bag, that you suck through a bitten-off corner — the do-it-yourself cousin of the shop-bought 'bag juice'. Cheap and easily made at home, the suck-suck is a nostalgic childhood cool-down on a hot day, the icy sweet drink sucked slowly from the bag until nothing is left. It belongs, with bag juice and the snowball, to the whole beloved world of cheap frozen treats that have refreshed generations of Jamaican children in the heat.
