Meaning
The large woven plastic (or, older, cloth) sack that rice comes in — and, once empty, a reusable all-purpose bag for storing, carrying, and packing everything from produce to old clothes to a child's belongings heading 'a country'. The tough, striped rice bag is a familiar sight, endlessly repurposed in the thrifty tradition of wasting nothing.
