Meaning
Jamaica's iconic pale lager, brewed on the island since 1928 and sold worldwide in its stubby brown bottle with the red-diagonal label. So woven into local life that 'a Red Stripe' is shorthand for a cold beer at a bar, a party, or a domino game. A symbol of Jamaican brand pride abroad.
