Meaning
A dense, sweet baked pudding — most famously 'sweet potato pone', made from grated sweet potato (and sometimes cornmeal or coconut) with sugar, coconut milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla, baked until firm and chewy. A traditional Jamaican dessert with a soft, sticky centre and a caramelised top.
