Meaning
To eat up everything greedily, or by extension to use up, drain, or squander someone's resources — to 'nyam out' a person is to sponge off them until nothing is left, or to burn through money or supplies. Built on 'nyam' (to eat), the 'out' adds the sense of consuming to the very end.
