Meaning
The glossy, wet-look chemical curl hairstyle that was hugely popular in the 1980s — hair chemically curled and kept shiny and moist with 'curl activator' spray and grease. The Jheri curl (or 'jerry curl') left a signature wet, dripping shine, and its grease famously stained pillows and collars. A defining, now-nostalgic look of the era.
