Meaning
The trade of the higgler — buying produce or goods and reselling them at market or on the street, higgling (haggling) over prices. A pillar of the informal Jamaican economy, higglering has for generations been the way many women in particular support their families, buying cheap in the country and selling in town, or importing goods to sell ('informal commercial importing').
