Gaan

verb GAAN

Also spelled gone, gawn

  • Him gaan already, yuh miss him.

He's already gone — you missed him.

  • Di whole day gaan so fast.

The whole day went by so fast.

Patois form of 'gone'. See [[gweh]], [[gaan-clear]].

Gone/departed/finished; intensifies in 'gaan clear', 'gaan a bed'.
