Meaning
A rich drink made by beating a raw egg into milk (often condensed milk) with sugar, vanilla, and grated nutmeg, sometimes spiked with a little rum or stout. Egg punch is drunk as a nourishing 'strength' drink and a treat, in the same family as peanut punch and Guinness punch, and it is believed to build you up.
