Dresser

noun DRES-a ˈdrɛsa

Also spelled dresser, dressa, dressing table

A bedroom chest of drawers fitted with a mirror — the dressing table where clothes, linens, and small treasures are kept and where one dresses and grooms before the glass. In many Jamaican homes the dresser was a prized piece of furniture, often the finest thing in the room, its top set with doilies, family photos, perfume, and ornaments. A good mahogany dresser was a mark of a well-kept house and handed down with pride.
