A person of mixed African and Chinese descent — the child of the union between Jamaica's Black majority and its long-established Chinese community ('Chiney'). 'Chiney royal' describes this specific mixed heritage, often noting particular features (a certain eye shape, straighter hair). Usually used as plain description, it belongs to Jamaica's rich vocabulary of its mixed peoples, alongside 'coolie royal'.
