Meaning
A dismissive exclamation of scorn or disbelief — 'chat bout!' — thrown at something foolish, false, or presumptuous someone has just said, roughly 'nonsense!' or 'who are you to talk!' Literally 'chat about', it dismisses the whole line of talk as not worth taking seriously. As a plain verb phrase, 'chat bout' also just means to talk about something, but the sharp, standalone exclamation is the flavourful use.
