Meaning
The large, deeply lobed leaf of the breadfruit tree, dried and boiled as a bush tea in Jamaican folk medicine — reputed especially as a remedy to help control high blood pressure and to soothe the nerves. The yellowing leaf that falls from the tree is the one usually gathered for tea, and belief in its healthful power is widespread, alongside the breadfruit itself as a staple food.
