Bow-foot

adjective BOW-fut boʊ fʊt

Also spelled bow foot, bow-leg, bow-legged

Bow-legged — having legs that curve outward at the knees so the feet come together but the knees don't. 'Foot' in Patois covers the whole leg, so 'bow-foot' describes the bowed legs. Usually a plain physical description, though it can be used teasingly.

  • Him a walk funny cause him bow-foot.

He walks oddly because he's bow-legged.

  • Di likkle bow-foot bwoy still run fast.

The little bow-legged boy still runs fast.

  • She bow-foot but she dance good.

She's bow-legged but she dances well.

From 'bow' (curved) + 'foot' (leg, in Patois); bow-legged. See [[foot]], [[knock-knee]].

Bow-legged; 'foot' = the whole leg in Patois. See [[foot]], [[knock-knee]].
