Boasty

adjective BOAS-ti ˈboːsti

Also spelled boasy, boasie

Boastful, show-offy, flashy — carrying on in a proud, look-at-me way, whether by bragging, dressing to impress, or 'stylin' to be seen. It can be a light tease ('yuh boasty, eeh?') or a real criticism of someone too full of themselves. 'Boasty' celebrates and mocks Jamaican flair for showing off in equal measure.
