Meaning
The palm of the hand — the middle, inner part of the hand. In the same plain-descriptive way that gives 'foot-bottom' for the sole, Jamaican speech names the palm the 'hand-middle'. An itchy hand-middle is a well-known folk sign that money is coming your way, and it is where you spit for luck or to seal a deal.
