Meaning
Understanding — but a Rasta reshaping of the word. Since a person rises up in true knowledge rather than standing 'under' something, Iyaric replaces the 'under' with 'over': you don't understand, you 'overstand'. To 'overstand' a matter is to grasp it fully and rightly. A classic example of Rastafari word-sound-power at work in everyday speech.
