Meaning
An old-time moonlit children's pastime and its song. Children lay a friend down on the ground and outline the body with broken bits of coloured bottle-glass, shells, and stones — making a sparkling 'moonshine baby' that glitters in the moonlight — while singing 'Moonshine tonight, come mek we dance an sing'. A cherished piece of pre-electricity Jamaican play.
