Meaning
A sweet boiled pudding of grated sweet potato or cornmeal with coconut, sugar, and spice, wrapped in a banana leaf and boiled until firm — the leaf tinting it a bluish hue, hence the playful name. Also called 'duckunoo', 'tie-a-leaf', or 'blue draws', it is a treasured traditional dessert of West African origin.
